Human Rights Policy Statement

At the studio, every piece begins with a belief: beauty is inseparable from the conditions that create it.

The work we do depends on people - on their skill, time, and integrity. Because of this, we take responsibility for how our decisions affect others. This policy sets out the commitments we can make honestly, based on the way we work today and the direction we intend to grow.

Our approach follows the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, and the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).

1. Respect for People and Their Work

We respect the rights and wellbeing of everyone connected to our business - whether within our own studio or in the workshops and suppliers we rely on.

We follow internationally recognized human rights standards, including the ILO Core Conventions, and we expect the same from the partners we choose to work with.

This includes ensuring:

  • no forced, bonded, or child labor
  • safe working conditions
  • fair and lawful pay
  • working hours that follow local regulations
  • respect in daily interactions
  • no harassment or degrading treatment

2. Equality and the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)

Aligning our work with the UN WEPs principles means:

  • making decisions based on skills and experience, not gender
  • offering equal pay for equal work
  • ensuring a safe working environment
  • supporting women-led suppliers and artisans where possible
  • keeping communication open and respectful
  • reviewing our own practices regularly with honesty

These are ongoing efforts, and we aim to improve them over time.

3. Responsible Sourcing

We work toward sourcing materials that are as responsible and traceable as possible. This includes using recycled precious metals when feasible and selecting suppliers who can demonstrate ethical practices.

We do not claim full traceability at this stage, but we are committed to increasing transparency step by step. When we cannot verify information, we say so clearly and seek better options.

4. Due Diligence in Practice

Our due diligence follows the OECD guidance and includes:

  • identifying risks to people in our supply chain
  • speaking directly with suppliers about their practices
  • choosing partners who show a genuine commitment to responsible work
  • adjusting or ending relationships if serious concerns arise
  • keeping notes and records of what we learn

We refine our process as we learn more.

5. Raising Concerns

Anyone involved in our operations or supply chain should be able to raise a concern safely. We commit to:

  • listening carefully
  • responding in a timely and respectful way
  • seeking fair and practical solutions
  • not retaliating against anyone who speaks up

If we discover that our work has caused or contributed to harm, we take responsibility for addressing it.

We make jewelry with care, and we aim to extend that same care to the people involved in every stage of the process. This policy reflects what we stand for today and what we intend to uphold as we grow.
